  • ART : ART
ART : ART was created as a series of posters designs for a Joseph Kosuth exhibition at Tate Modern. Pulling inspiration from his focus on art and language, I created a typographic solution to his theories of representation. In his 1965 essay, "Art After Philosophy", he states, “Art is the definition of art.” This is my typographic response to his message of questioning art.

  • Social Awareness
In response to America’s high dependency on prescription medication, I created this poster as a social awareness campaign. Focusing on anxiety and depression, I addressed issues pertaining to medication’s effects on the human body. As a culture, we have bought into corporate organizations advertising medication as the resource for health care as opposed to a natural approach. In return, we have suffered consequences physically, mentally, and financially.

  • Film Poster
Phillip is a movie based on the relationship between a mentally retarded nanny (Phillip) and the five year old girl he takes care of. The film is a psychological exploration of childlike like emotion, questioning it’s place in today’s adult. The story relies heavily on symbolism, particularly within the little girl’s teddy bear who wears a red bow tie just like Phillip. The red bow tie is an icon in which both Phillip and the bear share.

  • Social Awareness
Love Handles is a social awareness campaign geared toward women in order to promote a healthy life style. Ideally this direct mail piece would be sponsored by local bike shops who would, in return, receive advertisement on the poster. LoveHandles is an eye catching approach encouraging women around the country to embrace their bodies and well being through a healthy, sustainable life style.

  • Calendar
This project is inspired by the events in my life as well as the lives
around me. Our Calendar was created for those battling cancer as well as their family and friends. Time is a highly delicate subject when considering the life of a cancer patient, but it is something that must be faced. This calendar is designed as an interactive piece in which the patient, family, and friends can create a support system on a daily basis. The calendar’s purpose is to create a learning experience for everyone involved, and to provide encouragement and support to the patient while undergoing treatment.

  • Artistic Process
An Artistic Process is the result of a series of reflections on my process as a designer. My approach was partly inspired by Marshall McLuhan’s, The Medium Is In The Message, as well as personal theories and events of my life. Using carefully chosen material, each page expresses the similarities of the life cycle in comparison to the design process.
